Design Changes Don't Have To Slow Down Your Project

Sep 19, 2019

As a company that primarily focuses on prototypes, we know that ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) are to be expected from time to time. It shouldn't take weeks to make a slight tweak to your mold when your part requires a design change. Here's how we take a proactive approach to ensure our customers don't have to worry about requesting a change:

  1. We develop an initial game plan. That plan includes what areas or features are expected to change so we can design the mold accordingly. Anticipating tweaks makes the process easier, more affordable and cuts time between testing cycles.
  2. Tool builds stay on schedule. An active project won't be pushed to the back of the line just because a design change is requested.
  3. Sampling is done in-house: When the mold design, tool build and sampling are all performed in-house, you avoid the risk of losing critical information during transitions.

Making tweaks to your prototype shouldn't be a hassle. With the flexibility of making design changes, your prototype can be produced efficiently, cost effectively and as close to the finished product as possible. If you have a project you'd like to prototype at The ERC, feel free to submit it using our Rapid Quote form or contact us with your questions.
