Check Out Our Newest Services

Happy Independence Day! It's hard to believe we're already halfway through the year. 2019 has brought big changes to The ERC. We introduced some new employees, new machinery, and new capabilities. In case you missed any of our email announcements, here's a briefing of what's new at The ERC in 2019. Make sure to subscribe to our blog to stay updated!

1. Automatic Unscrewing Core For Threaded Parts

Internal threads are commonly found on plastic parts that screw together. Due to the delicate nature of threads, molding these parts requires a slightly different approach than your average plastic part. In the past, these parts needed to be manually unscrewed from the core by hand to avoid stripping the threads. Earlier this year, we incorporated an automatic unscrewing core to speed up the process and eliminate errors. Watch the video to see how it works!

2. 200 Ton Press

New-Press

To keep up with the needs of our growing customer base, we decided to invest in machinery that would allow us to mold parts that we previously weren't able to accommodate. With our new 200 ton press, we can manufacture larger plastic prototypes and facilitate more short-run production than ever before.

3. Increased Maximum Part Size

Our 55 ton press only allowed for us to mold parts up to 4 cubic inches. The new 200 ton press has increased our maximum part size to approximately 15 cubic inches.

4. Larger Tooling

The capacity to fit larger molds into our new press means we can build tooling for your larger parts. This also gives you the option to purchase a mold with multiple cavities for larger quantities of smaller parts. This can help you get your parts quicker and for a better part price.

5. Larger Production Volumes

Both presses operate "lights out" so you can get a better part price and quicker lead time on short-run production.

If you have an upcoming project that could benefit from any of these new offerings, fill out our Rapid Quote form to get a quick quote. We will be closed July 4th & 5th in honor of Independence Day but will return July 8th. Have a happy and fun 4th of July!
